ClassFlo is a weekly English reading lesson app that runs on three screens in the classroom.
The teacher opens the console on a laptop or iPad. The classroom screen displays a screen visible to the entire class. Students participate using their own smartphones. No account registration is required. Participation is simple: just enter or scan the class code displayed on the screen.
Each lesson uses actual articles rewritten in three difficulty levels. Each class reads one topic at a difficulty level appropriate for each student. The lesson progresses through 14 steps in a fixed order: word strips, vocabulary, True or False predictions, audio-accompanied text, comprehension, word board, fill-in-the-blanks, spelling, listening, conversation, discussion, writing, and summary. As the teacher turns pages, the students' screens follow.
If students can't decide which article to read, they can vote from their smartphones. If no one chooses, a roulette wheel will decide.
Individual learning is also possible. You can listen to words and sentences aloud, and a small coach in the corner of the screen will guide your learning.
For teachers: Once you sign in, you can choose a lesson and level and start teaching immediately. There's a timer for each step, a display showing who answered, and the screen and student screens always show the same thing.
Read one English article per week with your classmates. Three levels available, with audio.
