About this app

OpenBook is an EPUB reader that stays out of the way of the page. No account, no feed, no recommendation engine — just the books you already own, on paper-coloured pages.

READ
• Import EPUB files straight from your phone or tablet
• Tap a page edge or drag the paper across to turn pages
• Table of contents, bookmarks and full-text search inside the book
• Highlight a passage in colour, then copy, share or translate it
• Reading settings for text size, font, weight, columns and justification
• Light and dark appearance, independent of your system theme

LISTEN
• Have any page read aloud from where you stopped
• Pause, skip and change speed on the player
• A sleep timer stops the voice when you drift off
• Keep listening with the app in the background; the notification controls it

YOUR LIBRARY
• Grid or list, sorted by recently imported, title or author
• Edit a title or author, mark a book finished, delete books in bulk
• Progress per book, reopening on the page you left

READING HABITS
• Today's minutes, a daily goal and a streak
• A week chart plus month and year totals

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
• The app has no internet permission, so nothing leaves your device
• No account, no sign-in, no advertising
• Deleting a book removes the app's copy only; your original file is untouched

GOOD TO KNOW
• DRM-protected books (most paid titles from other stores) cannot be opened
• EPUB only — PDF and MOBI are not supported

Available in English and Vietnamese.
Offline EPUB reader: read aloud, highlights, paper page turns.
