Every stitch tells two stories.

Understitch is a two-sided thread puzzle game built around one simple rule: every stitch passes through the fabric and sends the needle to the opposite face.

Choose a hole, pull the thread, and keep both sides in mind. A move can be legal and still leave the pattern impossible to finish, so the challenge is not just finding a path. It is finding the right order.

Plan before you stitch

Hold a highlighted hole to preview where the needle will emerge on the opposite side. Use hints when you need them, undo one stitch at a time, or hold Undo to rewind to the last viable choice.

Every pattern has two independently authored embroidery designs to reveal, one on each side.

Finish a pattern to uncover the completed Front and Reverse artwork. Revisit your finished work in the Gallery and choose which side you want to display.
