About this app

GeoSwiftSOS sends your exact location to the people you trust, at the moment you need it most — and it does so without internet, without an account, and without sending anything to anyone else.

Your position travels by SMS, over the same network that carries an ordinary text message. That is why it still works in the mountains, in a cellar, or abroad with data roaming switched off, where apps that depend on mobile data simply fail.

KEY FEATURES

- One-press SOS that sends your GPS position to every emergency contact you saved
- A short countdown before anything is sent, so an accidental press costs nothing
- Automatic fall detection that raises the alarm when you cannot
- Three sensitivity levels, so you decide how readily it triggers
- A readiness screen that shows at a glance whether the app is actually set up
- Send a test message, so you know exactly what your contacts will receive
- Works completely offline — no Wi-Fi, no mobile data, no account
- Available in 24 languages, following whatever language your phone is set to

HOW FALL DETECTION WORKS

Most fall detection is either too eager or too blind. GeoSwiftSOS looks for three things in sequence: a genuine drop, a hard impact, and then several seconds of real stillness. Running, jumping, and a phone slipping out of your pocket all fail at least one of those tests.

When a fall is confirmed, an alarm sounds and a countdown begins. If you get up, nothing is sent. If you cannot, the SOS goes out on its own, with your location inside it.

You choose the sensitivity. Lower means almost no false alarms; higher means catching softer falls at the cost of the occasional one.

BUILT TO KEEP YOUR DATA YOURS

There is no server behind this app, so there is nothing to leak. No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising.

Your emergency contacts live in a database on your phone alone. The app does not even ask for access to your contact list — when you pick someone from your phonebook, Android hands over that one person and nothing more.

Your location is read only when an alert is sent, placed into the message, and then forgotten. It is never stored and never uploaded.

WHO IT IS FOR

Hikers and climbers heading somewhere without coverage. Drivers on long or empty roads. Cyclists and runners. Older people living alone, and the families who worry about them. Anyone working a night shift or travelling by themselves.

IMPORTANT

GeoSwiftSOS alerts the people you have chosen. It does not contact the emergency services. In a life-threatening situation, always call 112 or your local emergency number first.

Delivery of any SMS depends on network coverage and your carrier, and standard message charges may apply.
