They don’t store your searches or anything else and it’s very easy to turn on or off manually or set it to turn on automatically. A few online ordering places will block your access if you use a VPN (L.L. Bean, for example) as well as some financial or medical institutions. I have Encrypt VPN on my laptop and phone. Works great for 95% of my needs. There are some sights that will not allow logins/passwords with the VPN operational.
