About this game

ENDGAME is competitive chess stripped to the essentials: a King and 3 pawns
per side. Games resolve in minutes, but the depth is pure chess — opposition,
zugzwang, pawn breakthroughs, triangulation. Every pawn matters.

— THE DRAFT —
Before the first move, you choose how to set up. Three alignments: Kingside,
Queenside, or Center. Then place your King behind any of your pawns. Black
sees White's full setup before drafting their counter — information advantage
balances tempo.

— ONLINE PLAY —
Sign in with Google or email/password. Get matched and play 15-minute ranked games
against real opponents. Glicko-2 ratings, server-validated moves, live
chess clocks. Or send a private link to a friend.

— PLAY VS FLUX —
Five difficulty levels of AI play. Flux is powered by Stockfish 18 — one
of the world's strongest open-source chess engines — running on your
device with no network round-trip. Higher levels play at near-tournament
strength with endgame tablebase access; lower levels mix in deliberate
noise so you have a real fight at any rating. Ranked mode updates your
rating; unranked lets you experiment with setups.

— DAILY PUZZLES —
A new mate-in-1 every day at 00:00 UTC. Solve to extend your streak. Hints
and reveals available, with streaks.

— SEASONS & LEADERBOARDS —
Monthly ranked seasons. Climb the global leaderboard by gaining rating.
End-of-season top finishers earn awards visible on your profile.

— FRIENDS & SOCIAL —
Add friends, send private-room challenges, and follow inbox notifications
for incoming challenges, friend requests, and game results. Push
notifications keep you in the loop when you're not in the app.

— LOCAL MATCH —
Pass-and-play on a single device. No sign-in required. Perfect for teaching
the variant or playing across the table.

— FAIR PLAY —
Server-authoritative move validation. Disconnect-aware clocks (your time
doesn't bleed when your opponent drops). Anti-griefing measures: 60-second
first-move abort window, draw-offer abuse guards, abuse reporting. No bots
in the matchmaking pool — sign-in (Google or email) required for online play.

— PRIVACY-RESPECTING —
No ads. No tracking. No third-party analytics. The only data we collect is
what's needed to match you, score your games, and deliver notifications you
asked for. Account deletion is one tap in Settings.

— FREE TO PLAY —
The whole game is free. If you want to support development, there's a
"Support ENDGAME" tip jar on the home screen. Optional, never paywalled.
