Purely Based on WordNet:
WordNet is a large lexical database of English. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms (synsets), each expressing a distinct concept. Synsets are interlinked by means of conceptual-semantic and lexical relations.

Ratings and reviews

Nice new amoled theme! I wish the database were much larger. 30% of the time, the words that I search for do not appear anywhere in the results, especially with two-part compound words and idioms, so this app just tries to guess, by defining the individual components,which never produces the correct answer. It should at least link to Google translate in such cases.

Well, the 1st "word of the day was 'jargoon', which is fine, except they paired it with 'jargon' which is a completely different word with a completely different def. Other than that little hiccup the app is pretty straightforward and easy to use. No in-app purchases but, you will have to watch ads.

Ifind the app to be simple and straightforward. I've had the app six days and looked up the definition or synonym for 40-50 words. Although I have had an ad pop up a few times, they are infrequent and most times skip-able. My only complaint is the robotic sounding voice for the pronunciation audio recording. The voice is also speaking too fast. I expected a smoother more calm reading 8/10. If they got a much better pronunciation recording🤔 9/10
