About this app

App Lock is an app protector which could protect your privacy. It can lock contacts, SMS, e-mail, gallery, settings, calls or any apps by password or pattern lock.

With this app, you don't have to worry about your private information on your phone to be exposed to other people, you don't have to worry about your kids messing your phone up by changing the settings.

This app will use Accessibility API to read app names, app icons and package names of all apps including the current app you are using so that it can lock them with password.

I tried several locking apps, but this one is the best so far. Does what it says on the tin. Nice interface with several customisation options available. Access to your locked apps via pattern or code, with security question for lost password. Ads not too intrusive. Most important, cannot be removed without entering the password - surprising the number of so-called security apps which do not have this facility. So far I like it a lot. Kudos to the developer.

I consider this a work in progress. Doesn't work for me though. OnePlus8T Android 11. When uninstall protection is on, I can't uninstall anything, even after typing password. It gets in a loop asking pass again and again. Can't also use Google pay. Same loop. Sent email to dev but no response. Design Patterns to unlock should not be in the middle, but at the bottom of the screen so one handled even in large screen phone you can unlock.

At the beginning I was glad with it because it is possible to use a PIN of more than 4 digits; but after using it for about two weeks, one day it began to change the number 6 for number 9 (I typed 6, it wrote 9). This made impossible to unlock anything locked with it. Then, when I tried to use the alternative method to be used in case you forgot the PIN, the keyboard didn't appeared. This kept happening every time I rebooted the phone. Don't use this app.
