Live Link Face (Beta) for real time MetaHuman facial animation in Unreal Engine — capture performances from your device.

Real time animation for MetaHumans:

- The Live Link Face app generates animation to drive a MetaHuman Character in real time.
- Animation data is streamed to Unreal Engine over a network using the MetaHuman Live Link Plugin.
- Facial animation can be applied to any MetaHuman character, in just a few clicks.
- This workflow requires a desktop PC running Windows 10/11.

Timecode support for multi-device synchronization:

- Select from the system clock or an NTP server, or use a Tentacle Sync device to connect with a master clock on stage.

Realtime animation support is currently limited to devices with certain Qualcomm chipsets.

The following phone models have been verified as compatible in our own testing:

- OnePlus 12 5G
- ROG Phone 7 Ultimate
- Samsung S23 Ultra
- Samsung S24 USA/Canada/China
- Samsung S24 Ultra
- Sony Xperia 1 VI

The application should be compatible with devices containing the following Qualcomm chipsets. However we cannot guarantee compatibility as phone manufacturers may choose to disable required chipset features.

- Snapdragon 8 Gen 1
- Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
- Snapdragon 8 Elite

Note that the Snapdragon 8s series of chipsets is not supported.

ALERT: TAKES CANNOT BE EXPORTED I just did a full day shoot using the app in 'recording mode only' - NO facial tracking, just recording video from the headcam. on a pixel 7 pro xl. any take above 2gb cannot be transferred off the device. I've tried with save, share, and accessing the files on the phone from a computer. as well as using live link hub capture manager. all of the methods fail, the app crashes or the live link hub download/ingest fails. I made a bug report, please help!

Terrible version of the ios app that doesn't save footage or even create csv files, can't even track facial data on most phones, absolutely no point in even using it since it offers none of the features you might actually have used it for.

1 Star . Doesn't work on Samsung S24, Snapdragon version. Edit : I decided to try the app again since last time. Surprised to see it working now with the same phone. (Updated UE to 5.7, I beleive it was 5.5 earlier) Changing my rating to 4 now.
