The Jain religion, rooted in Ahimsa (non-violence), is followed by thousands of Jain Sadhus and Sadhvijis who walk barefoot during their journeys, known as "Vihar." Due to modern traffic, the risk of accidents has increased. Fifteen years ago, Pujya Vidwan Muniraj Shri Jambu Vijay Maharaj passed away after being hit by a vehicle while doing Vihar in Rajasthan. This tragic incident inspired Pujya Panyaas Shri Mahabodhi Vijayji Maharaj to encourage youth to provide protection and support during Vihar, leading to the formation of the Vihar Seva Group (VSG) on November 15, 2009, in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. Since then, VSG has grown to over 500 centers and 25,000 volunteers across India, offering daily assistance to ensure the safety of Jain monks from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
