Naqio is a halal food scanner that verifies halal vs haram ingredients instead of guessing. Scan a barcode or an ingredient label, and Naqio checks halal, haram, and doubtful additives against a curated database, with the source behind every verdict.

Most halal checkers give you a single answer with no explanation. Naqio is different. Every product is checked on two separate axes, the ingredients and the meat or slaughter status, so you understand exactly why a food is halal, haram, or doubtful, and you can see the source behind each decision.
One clear rule
Unless an ingredient is certainly haram, Naqio reads it as halal. Pork, alcohol, blood and carrion always block a label, wherever they appear on the pack — the only text that changes that is an explicit "contains no pork" style claim, which Naqio reads as the claim it is. Doubtful items, like gelatin of unstated source or meat without certification, count as halal by default, because a doubt does not overturn what is otherwise permitted. Prefer the strict reading? Cautious mode in Settings flags every doubt and every unrecognised ingredient instead. And a label Naqio genuinely cannot read is never guessed at — it asks you to rescan.

Naqio's analysis runs on your device and works fully offline. Scan in the supermarket aisle, read a label at a restaurant, or check a product where there is no signal at all. There is no account to create and nothing to wait for.
Privacy first
No account. The halal verdict is always decided on your device; when you're online, label text is read by a secure text‑recognition service you consent to (and can turn off). Free scans are ad-supported and Pro removes the ads. Naqio asks for nothing it doesn't need.

What’s new
Naqio now always gives you an answer. Words it only half-read are looked up instead of sending you back to the camera, and a label it cannot read with confidence is no longer left as "review" — it is not treated as halal. You are never left undecided in the aisle.
