The split on screen is the exact split on your performance monitor. Your distance is read straight from your machine's odometer — no artificial inflation, no inflated speed calculations. If you slipstream behind an enemy vessel, you will move faster, but you will never be awarded a single meter you didn't physically pull. If the game says 2,000m, you rowed 2,000m.
