About this app

Books live on the shelf, in a bag, on a reader — and still you lose track of what you finished, what stalled, and how much you actually read. Book Library keeps the shelf, the clock and the year in one place.

Scan a barcode. Title, author, pages, cover and genre arrive from the catalogues: Open Library, Google Books, the National Library of Poland, e-ISBN, Crossref. Type an ISBN or add a book by hand. Series, volume, paper or ebook, star rating, start and finish dates.

The shelf is yours. Five layouts: thumbnails, tiles, wide list, compact list and a full-screen cover. Search by title, author or genre. Filter by status, format, rating, series, year and author. Sort the way you think about books.

Reading starts with play. Pause and stop keep time. The lock screen shows a notification with the cover. When you finish, the book is marked read.

Stats show a year, a month or a day: finished books, pages, authors, timer time and days from dates, average days per book, pages per hour. The month is a calendar heatmap. The year is a month-by-month chart. An optional goal (10 or 100) can remind you in the evening.

Your data stays on the phone. The network is used only to look up an ISBN and to check for Play updates. No account, no cloud, no feed.
