Digital Shield is an application developed in collaboration with the San Luis Potosí Municipal Cyber Police as part of a project to prevent telephone extortion. Its purpose is to provide citizens with an accessible, reliable, and up-to-date tool to identify suspicious numbers and take preventative action against potential scams or fraud.
The application allows users to check previously reported numbers, receive real-time alerts when a call is received from a number identified as risky, and send reports directly from their mobile device. It also integrates security features such as OTP validation, protection of sensitive information through modern security practices, and secure data storage, guaranteeing the confidentiality and integrity of the user's identity.
Among its main features are:
* Check reported numbers: Quickly search for suspicious numbers from a directory updated by citizens and the Municipal Cyber Police.
* Suspicious call alerts: Receive instant notifications when a number registered as an extortionist attempts to contact you, even if the app is running in the background. * Direct communication with the Municipal Cyber Police: Quickly access official support channels via call or WhatsApp message to receive immediate guidance in case of emergency or if you have any questions.
* Clear and intuitive interface: Designed with usability principles and validated through testing with real users of different ages.
