About this game

The game is a remake of the original Snake II with pixel graphics and monophonic sounds. The goal is to make as many points as possible by making the snake eat stuff that shows up. The more you eat the longer will the snake grow. If the snake collides with itself the game ends. This version of the game was redone from the old phones of the famous brand.

Classic Snake II features:

• Pixel image as on older displays;
• 9 original difficulty levels;
• Original monophonic sound effects;
• 5 original mazes;
• Table top scores;
• Five types of control.

Speed
You can select the speed of the snake. In the game menu, go to "level" to select a level. The higher the level is the faster the snake goes. There are nine levels. The higher the level is, the more points you get when you eat things.

Mazes
There are five mazes you can choose between, plus the "no maze" option. If you select "no maze," there are no walls. When the snake goes out one end, it comes back through the other end. Maze 1 is just a wall around the course. The mazes get harder and more complicated the higher the maze's number is.

Controls
Snake control methods:
• using gestures;
• by pressing the left / right half of the screen to rotate the snake's head;
• using the volume buttons;
• using the arrows (holding the arrows you can move around the field);
• using the keyboard.

Ratings and reviews

So close to being the great OG snake 2. It all comes down to the levels (speed of snake) and controls. For some reason the snake is significant slower when you use they keypad. They decided to make the arrows option on the screen, so your own hands obscure the snake. Also the arrows are tiny. With a few tweaks this game would be great. Make the arrows option reduce the board size and have big arrow buttons, don't reduce the snake speed.

I love it. It's a very faithful recreation of the original. It's an amazing work to adapt it for bigger screens and different control methods, while allowing the user to play with the classic controls. I did find some differences, and suggest to fix them: the snake's mouth is supposed to open when there's food beyond the warp wall; on the keyboard control model, keys 1 and 7 should work when the snake is facing right, and keys 3 and 9 should work when the snake is facing left (turn up or down).

It would be good if the controls where better, you've made the effort to have a list of controls I can see that but they are no good. The only control that I can see that could be any good is the keypad control but when you use that control the snake goes too slow for reason and you can't level up to make it faster.
