About this app

Seismoscope is designed as a fast and simple way view recent earthquakes near you, particularly for Australia. Data is sourced from the Seismology Research Centre (SRC, for the last month), from Geoscience Australia (GA, for the last week), GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences (GFZ, for the last week), and from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS, for the last day). Earthquakes that occurred in the last 3 hours animate to highlight recent activity, and earthquakes are colour coded as well as sized by magnitude for ease of interpretation. Links to report Australian earthquakes to GA are available directly in the app, as are links to report USGS and GFZ events to their respective reporting pages.
