The wood traceability management system that we are aiming for is to accumulate and share data from the entire process, from material production to processing and delivery (building construction).
We have developed OHTAG®, a nail-shaped IC tag made of hard plastic that is highly impact resistant, heat resistant, and water resistant, and have started wood traceability management using this tag.
Each OHTAG inserted into the end of a log at a logging site has a unique ID, and data from each process is added and accumulated until it is shipped as a sawn product. Data can be shared and viewed on the cloud.
