Ethos shows you thoughts shared by people in the space immediately around you. Open the app and you'll find a quiet field of thoughts drifting nearby, things people felt moved to put into the world, close to where you are, right now. Share one of your own, and it appears for others nearby.

Nothing here is meant to last. Thoughts drift for a while and then fade on their own. There are no permanent profiles, no archives to scroll back through, no record building up over time. What's here is what's near, now.

There are no follower counts, no likes, and no algorithmic feed deciding what you see. Nothing to chase, and no audience to perform for. Connection forms slowly and quietly, through presence rather than popularity. It's a space to think out loud in the open, close to home, without the pressure of everything that usually comes with being online.

Ethos doesn't sell your data, doesn't show ads, and doesn't try to keep you hooked. It asks for your location so it can show you what's nearby, and little else. You stay in control of your permissions and notifications, and you can delete your account and everything tied to it whenever you choose.
