App works fine, not many features but it does allow me to set the temp, check the current temp, and lock the panel on the unit so my toddler can't mess things up by pressing buttons (which is a huge bonus in my opinion!). Not sure what else would even be needed. I had no issues whatsoever connecting the unit to the app (I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra). I guess if you're a super "big brother is watching" person, the permission requirements are a turn-off, but it didn't bother me.

It can be frustrating at first but keep playing with it. I finally figured it out. You have to go into your phone's settings under the app where you can give it PERMISSIONS... Make sure you have the NEARBY DEVICES enabled. In the app under large appliance select CAR FRIDGE OR CAR REFRIGERATOR. Then continue through the prompts and it should connect. You'll also have to play with the enable location services.

just another data scraping adware. the cooler works fine, and thank god I paid a bit more for the one with manual control on the cooler. app demands a verificated email, precise location, VOICE ACCESS???? and 3rd party data storage... to "share the fridge with friends and family" bro anyone im sharing this with is next to me.. to open the cooler. I uninstalled after 6 minutes of using as a "guest".
