EventCount Checklist is an offline countdown planner that ties a target date to the work you still need to do. Create an EventProject, set the day you are counting toward, then break preparation into phases, tasks, and milestones. Home shows days remaining and phase progress together, so you see both time left and how ready you actually are.
This version is built for private, on-device planning. There is no account to create, no cloud sync, and no advertising SDK. Event names, dates, checklists, and settings stay in app-private storage. You can use the app in airplane mode from the first launch.
COUNTDOWNS WITH CONTEXT
Most timers only show a number. EventCount Checklist keeps that number next to the current phase and a progress bar. Focus one upcoming event on Home, then scroll your other countdowns in a simple list. Search finds a project when the list grows. Optional tags such as Wedding, Launch, Trip, and Other keep similar plans grouped without turning the app into a social feed.
PHASE CHECKLISTS
Split a long wait into named stages — for example Planning, Shopping, and Final week. Each phase holds tasks you check off as you prepare. Starter tasks are included so a new event is not an empty form, and every title is editable. When a phase is complete, overall progress on Home and on the event Detail screen updates. Detail is the working surface: countdown at the top, then the checklist you tick through until the day arrives.
MILESTONES AND MONTH VIEW
Add dated milestones under an event when a checkpoint matters as much as the final day. Stats opens a month calendar with dots for active countdowns and completed phases. Tap a marked day to return to the related event. Use this when you want a calendar glance without exporting events into another calendar product.
REMINDERS YOU TURN ON
Optional local notifications can fire 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before the target date. They stay off until you enable them and allow notification permission. If the system later blocks notifications, Settings explains that reminders will not fire and offers a path into system settings. Alerts are planning aids only. Changing the device clock changes remaining days and whether a reminder still makes sense.
BACKUP, ARCHIVE, AND APPEARANCE
Export a JSON backup with the system file picker so a copy can live outside the app. Archive an event from Detail when it is finished. Clear all data from Settings after a confirmation if you want a clean slate. Uninstalling the app removes local records. Choose light, dark, or follow the system theme.
WHO IT IS FOR
People preparing a wedding, trip, exam, launch, move, or household deadline who want a countdown bound to a checklist. Anyone who prefers local notes over a cloud planner. It is not a team project manager, not a public event board, and not a replacement for professional calendars, ticketing, or vendor software.
HOW A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS
Open the app and glance at days left. Open Detail and tick the next phase task. If a milestone is coming, check the month view. Before a ceremony or trip, export JSON so you have a file copy. That is the loop: countdown, checklist, milestone — without forcing an account or a server.
WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO
EventCount Checklist does not sell tickets, book vendors, sync to Google Calendar or iCloud, share events with other people, or provide financial, legal, or medical advice. Countdowns and reminders are personal planning helpers.
PRIVACY IN SHORT
This app does not request the INTERNET permission. Version 1.0 does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. Optional reminders stay on the device. You can read the full privacy policy at https://edulinker.chat/privacy.html
