About this app

Intent is an app blocker for Reels, Shorts and endless feeds. Use social media for a reason, stop scrolling, and get back to your day. Messages, search and the people you follow stay within reach.

BLOCK REELS AND SHORTS
Hide Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other supported short-video and recommendation entry points. Standard YouTube videos and search keep working, so you can still watch what you came for.

CHOOSE A PURPOSE BEFORE YOU OPEN
Pick what you came to do, such as messages, search or a timed browse. Intent opens straight to that task and never silently falls back to an unrestricted recommendation feed.

CUT YOUR SCREEN TIME
Set session timers and daily limits for focused browsing, and build focus or sleep routines. Optional native-app protection covers only the apps you select: it uses Android's Accessibility service only to detect when one of those apps opens, and you can turn it off at any time.

A GENTLER DIGITAL DETOX
Plan your next check-in instead of scrolling now. Prepare captions and schedule your own reminders, then publish yourself in the official app. Intent cannot read other apps' notifications and never posts for you.

YOUR ACCOUNTS STAY ON YOUR DEVICE
Sign in on each platform's own website. Separate account profiles keep sessions on your phone, and Intent never receives your social passwords.

FREE AND PRO
Search, timed browsing and core protection are free. Intent Pro unlocks Messages, Notifications, Post, Profile and advanced customization. Available actions depend on the platform, and beta or unavailable features are labeled.

Works with Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, Xiaohongshu, Reddit, X, Pinterest, NAVER, Snapchat and LinkedIn. Features vary by platform, region and account. Intent is an independent app and is not endorsed by these platforms.
