About this app

DropEm moves photos, videos, music, apps and documents between your devices in seconds, without internet, mobile data or cables. There are no ads, no feeds, no account and no in-app purchases: open it, pick what to send and tap the device that should get it.

Share with every screen you own
Send from phone to phone, to a tablet or foldable, or straight to your Android TV or Google TV. Laptops, iPhones and iPads don't need the app: Web Share lets any browser on the same network download your files, grab everything as one ZIP, or upload files back to your device. A 4-digit code or a QR scan keeps strangers out.

Fast, local file transfer
When both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, DropEm finds them automatically. With no shared network, they connect directly over Wi-Fi Direct, and for big sends DropEm switches to that direct link on its own for extra speed. It is much faster than Bluetooth, and the app sets no file size limits. If a transfer is interrupted, it picks up where it stopped instead of starting over.

Private by design
Your files go straight from one device to the other and never pass through a cloud server. DropEm has no ads, no trackers, no analytics and no sign-up. Received files are saved in a DropEm folder in Downloads, sorted by type, and you can change the folder in Settings.

Made for every device
DropEm adapts to phones, foldables and tablets, and has a remote-friendly layout for Android TV and Google TV that works entirely with the D-pad. The app is available in English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese.

Good to know
• Both devices need DropEm, except with Web Share, which works in any modern browser.
• Wi-Fi must be turned on, but no internet connection is used for transfers.
• Some workplace and public networks block device discovery; scanning the QR code connects anyway.
