Simple Calendar is a calendar app that works with the calendars already on your Android phone. It reads and writes events through your device calendar, so anything you add here shows up in your other calendar apps too, and the other way around.
VIEWS
- Month, week and day views
- Week numbers and a clear "today" marker
- Drag an event in the week or day grid to reschedule it
- Search across your events
ADD EVENTS FAST
- Quick Add: type something like "Lunch with Sam tomorrow 12:30 at Cafe Roma" and the title, date, time and location are filled in for you
- Full editor with repeat rules, multiple-day selection, calendar picker, URL and notes
- Event templates: start from built-in templates for common events, or create your own. The app can also suggest templates for events you create often
STAY ON TOP OF YOUR DAY
- Reminders for upcoming events, with default alert times you can set in Settings
- Conflict warnings when a new event overlaps an existing one
- Smart scheduling: suggests free time slots based on your calendar and the times you usually meet
- Travel time check: estimates whether you can get from one event with a location to the next. These are straight-line estimates for driving, walking or transit, not live routing
- Weather forecast for events that have a location and are coming up soon
- Focus blocks: reserve time for focused work as a calendar event and track it in the app. Focus blocks do not switch on your phone's Do Not Disturb mode
- Analytics: see how much time your events take over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, by calendar and by time of day
HOME SCREEN
- Home-screen widget showing your upcoming events
- App shortcuts (long-press the app icon) to jump straight to a view
PERMISSIONS AND PRIVACY
- Calendar access is required to show and edit your events.
- Notification permission is used only for event reminders.
- Your events stay on your device and in the calendars you already use. Simple Calendar has no account and no ads.
- Weather and travel features send an event's location text (for example an address) to the free Open-Meteo geocoding and weather service to look up coordinates and a forecast. No other event details are sent.
Simple Calendar needs at least one calendar on your device (for example a Google account calendar) to save events.
