Scan barcodes and QR codes with Barcode Scanner, then review and manage your results in one place.

### Scan with your camera or an image

- Scan supported 1D and 2D barcode formats with the camera.
- Scan a barcode from an image on your device.
- Use the torch on devices with a supported flash unit.
- Choose automatic scanning or tap to capture a detected code manually.

Supported formats include QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, and ITF.

### Review before taking action

Each result is shown in a preview before you open a link or use another action. View the decoded content, barcode format, and detected content type when available. Copy the content when you need it, or use the suggested action for links, phone numbers, email addresses, SMS messages, and map locations.

### Keep your scan history organized

- Save scans locally in the app.
- Search your scan history by content.
- Mark scans as favorites and filter to favorites.
- Delete individual scans or select multiple scans to delete.
- Clear all history or remove all non-favorite scans.

### Optional scan images

When enabled, the app can save a low-resolution image of a scan for reference. These images are stored in the app's private storage and are removed when the related history item is deleted.

### Privacy

Barcode detection is performed on your device. The app needs camera access to scan with the camera. Scan history and optional scan images are stored locally on your device. Barcode Scanner does not automatically open links or copy content without an action from you. The app may collect limited usage information through Firebase Analytics to help improve the app.

Performance and scan reliability can vary with lighting, camera quality, barcode condition, and barcode format. A device with a camera is required for camera-based scanning; image scanning can be used when a saved image is available.
