About this app

ColorKnow measures the colour of your skin with your phone's camera, then shows
you the lipstick, blush and foundation shades that sit right with it.

WHY ANOTHER COLOUR APP

Most colour advice fails for the same reason: the light. The same face by a
window, under a warm bulb, and in a shop mirror gives three different answers.
ColorKnow asks you to hold any plain sheet of white paper in the frame. That
paper tells the app what the light in your room is doing, so the app can
subtract it.

WHAT YOU GET

• A measured skin tone, not a guess from a quiz
• Your undertone — warm, cool, neutral or olive
• Lip, blush and foundation shades worked out from your own measurement
• A confidence score, so you know when a reading was taken in poor light
• Your measurement history, to compare one reading against another

YOUR PHOTO NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE

The camera feed is read on your device and thrown away. No photo is taken. No
photo is uploaded. Nothing that could rebuild your face is stored anywhere.

If you create an account, only the numbers travel — the measured values, never
images — so you can pick your results up on another phone or on the web. An
account is optional: the app measures perfectly well without one.

You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app at any
time.

What’s new

First internal build. Measure your skin tone with the camera and get the
lipstick, blush and foundation shades that match it. Sign-in and cross-device
sync are new — please test those two hardest.
