MessagEase is a VERY different keyboard, unlike any keyboard you’ve seen or experienced before. It's NOT a QWERTY keyboard! So If you are looking for yet another QWERTY keyboard with bells and whistles, MessagEase is not what you are looking for!

MessagEase essentially has 9 large keys with an ingenious letter assignment that is designed to maximize your speed and to ease your writing. It may take you a few minutes to learn this new way of writing. But you'll save hours by texting and writing faster.

MessagEase is based on many years of scientific research; it uses letter frequency and di-gram data to optimize the position of letters and characters on a novel keyboard with fewer, larger buttons. (That’s why the letter positions are NON-QWERTY!)

This novel letter position is often very shocking--even intimidating--at first. But persevere and soon you'll find it intuitive and very practical.

MessagEase keyboard also includes word prediction. To keep the package light, the word lists required for word prediction is provided in separate modules that you download optionally. Please long press on Hand and then go to Settings > Languages & Keyboards > Word Prediction for how to set it up.

Please also note that you can change the keyboard size by dragging up/down on the Hand button. You can also reshape and recolor the keyboard in various ways. See Settings for details. You can also change the font used for the keyboard; you can even re-assign new characters or hide and remove some of the characters: yes, it is customizable like no other keyboard you've ever seen.

I've loved this keyboard for ten years. it's the first app I've installed on my last five phones. but if the subscription popups don't get fixed, I'm out! I was willing to pay for something I'd been enjoying for free for so long -- in my mind, y'all earned it! but now it makes my whole phone feel annoying to use, which takes this from 5 stars to 2. fixing that and adding a full complement of searchable emoji would have me singing your praises to all my friends, telling them to pay the fee.

I am a long term and loyal user of message ease. I happily paid $10 for a year subscription to message ease pro. Why do I continually get a pop up to subscribe when I have? Thismakes the app extremely annoying to use, and entirely unworkable when I am in a hurry. I have already stopped using it on my tablet, and am using it less and less on my phone. This is very disappointing. I don't want to go back to using a standard keyboard but if this issue is not fixed I am going to.

I really like this keyboard and don't mind paying for it, but the subscription functionality doesn't actually work. For the third time so far, the app just started nagging me to subscribe even though I'm already subscribed. From a keyboard app (in every other app) this gets old really fast. Edit: It's been 6 months and the subscription functionality is even more broken than before. I decided to jump ship to Thumb-Key instead.
