About this app

Your ExtraBrain session, at your fingertips.

ExtraBrain is an AI companion for conversations, meetings, and preparation. Its Mac app brings together transcription, screen context, and AI responses. ExtraBrain Mobile puts the session controls on your Android phone, so you can keep your Mac focused on the conversation and the response.

TRY IT WITHOUT PAIRING
Tap "Try a sample session" to explore the controller without a Mac or QR code. Try profiles, controller settings, follow-ups, the chat composer, and card reordering with sample data. The sample stays on your phone; it does not record audio, capture a Mac screen, or generate AI responses.

CAPTURE THE CONTEXT
Start or stop recording, capture a screenshot or selected region, and trigger analysis using the actions supported by your Mac app. Audio, screen capture, and AI processing take place on the Mac.

KEEP THE CONVERSATION MOVING
Ask a follow-up question from your phone, use session quick actions, or request help with the latest topic or question. Responses appear in ExtraBrain on your Mac.

CONTROL YOUR WORKSPACE
Navigate the session, switch profiles, show or hide the transcript panel, and adjust the ExtraBrain window. Reorder controller cards to put your most-used actions within reach. Available controls depend on your Mac app version and session state.

CONNECT AND RECONNECT
Scan the Mac’s pairing QR code and approve your phone on the Mac. Your devices can use different networks through an end-to-end encrypted relay, or connect directly over Tailscale when available. No subscription or VPN is required for the relay connection. ExtraBrain remembers your Mac so you can reconnect after an interruption.

BUILT FOR YOUR OWN SETUP
The mobile controller has no ads and requires no separate ExtraBrain account. Camera access is used only for QR pairing. Your Mac handles AI and transcription according to the providers and settings you choose.

LIVE CONTROL REQUIREMENTS
• A Mac running ExtraBrain with Phone Control enabled
• An internet connection on both devices for relay access
• Approval of your phone on the Mac

ExtraBrain Mobile is a companion controller; the Mac app provides transcription, capture, and AI responses. Use ExtraBrain in accordance with the rules of your workplace, school, interview, meeting, or platform.
