CameraVault - Security & Privacy First



CameraVault is built with one primary focus: your security and privacy. This is not just another camera app - it's a secure vault for your photos, designed from the ground up to protect your sensitive images with military-grade encryption and zero data collection.



Complete Privacy:

• Zero Data Collection: We don't collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Ever.

• No Cloud Sync: All photos stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded to servers.

• No Analytics: We don't track your usage or behavior.

• No Permissions Abuse: We only request permissions needed for camera, import (file picker), and export.



Military-Grade Security:

• AES-256-GCM + RSA-2048 Encryption: Industry-standard encryption used by banks and governments

• On-Device Encryption: All encryption happens locally - photos are encrypted before being saved

• Password-Protected Access: Default password required to decrypt and view photos

• Optional Biometric Unlock: Fingerprint or face in Settings; password remains the backup

• Private On-Device Storage: Encrypted photos stay in app-private storage

• Touch-to-Reveal Viewing: Only the area you touch is visible when viewing photos



Security Features:

• Automatic Encryption: Every photo is encrypted before it is saved

• Password Protection: Default password protects access to your vault

• Biometric Unlock (Optional): Android biometrics; confirmation required each unlock when enabled

• Secure Storage: App-private files; biometric wrap keys use Android Keystore when enabled

• Photo Deletion: Delete encrypted photos from the gallery

• Authentication: View and export require password or biometric unlock

• No Backdoors: Encryption keys are generated and stored locally - we have no access

• Gallery View: Browse encrypted photos with thumbnails and metadata

• Photo Import: Import one or more photos; encrypted on-device with your current key

• Rename & Password Update: Rename photos and update password/key protection per photo

• Export: Export decrypted photos when you authenticate

How It Works:

1. Set a default password when you first launch (one-time setup)

2. Optionally enable biometric unlock (fingerprint or face) — password remains the backup

3. Take or import photos - they are encrypted before being saved

4. View, rename, and manage photos in the gallery

5. Use multi-select for batch export or delete

6. Export when needed (password or biometric unlock)
