About this app

Extron ShareLink™ Pro is a user-friendly app for wirelessly sharing content from your smartphone or tablet for presentation on the room display. It enables connection of Android smartphones and tablets to an Extron ShareLink Pro presentation system via the existing Wi-Fi network.

Use the app to mirror your device screen to the display. You can also share images or video from your device or images captured using your camera. Multiple items can be shared simultaneously, appearing side-by-side on the display.

The app supports two operational modes. Basic Collaboration Mode allows any user to share content, while Moderator Mode enables a designated moderator to control which users can share content.

Whether presenting or sharing BYOD content, the Extron ShareLink Pro app ensures easy integration of Android devices into professional AV systems. Setup is fast and easy! Install an Extron ShareLink Pro Wired and Wireless Presentation System, connect to the ShareLink Pro system, and launch the ShareLink Pro app to start sharing content.

Ratings and reviews

I'm not sure why, but there's no audio passthrough to the ShareLink device. All audio is still only coming through the phone. Every other method on every other device passes audio except for this app for Android. It works well enough, but I'd like to see an update that allows audio to pass through. I wish this was more like a ClickShare.

Doesn't work. Entered through the IP address, it says it's unable to connect, I did this through the browser and in the app. Also tried through the host name, unable to work.

Impressive initial release! It works! What a novel and long awaited high tech device and app combination for sharing (U)HD multimedia information across (wireless) networks among meeting attendees. Allow a single presenter to show multiple content side by side, and more useful and powerful, allow multiple attendees to show each one's content(s) side by side for easy comparison. Definitely a badly awaited additional capability to conferencing apps such as Skype, Google Hangouts, Cisco WebEx...
