About this app

StoopNote is a simple neighborhood services board for posting and completing small local tasks such as dog walking, package pickup, plant watering, yard help, and other everyday favors. The app keeps neighborhood coordination focused and friendly, with each entry saved as a PorchTask that includes a short title, a service type, and a preferred day. On the Home tab, a compact dashboard shows square counters for Open and Done tasks along with a quick Add Task shortcut so you can see activity at a glance and start a new post quickly. The Tasks tab presents a vertical pinboard of PorchTask paper-tag cards grouped into Open and Done sections. Each card uses a colored left status stripe and a clear text status label to show whether the task is Open or Done without relying on check marks or tick symbols. Tap a PorchTask card to edit its details, delete it when it is no longer needed, or toggle its status as the favor is completed. The Add tab provides a straightforward form for entering the task title, choosing a service type, noting the preferred day, and setting the status before saving a new PorchTask. The Search tab includes a search field that filters PorchTasks by title or service type, making it easy to find a specific request or review similar tasks. All PorchTasks are stored locally on your device only, so your neighborhood notes remain private to that device. StoopNote does not require accounts or cloud sync, which keeps the experience quick and uncomplicated for neighbors who just want to coordinate simple help. The warm cream porch-wall design, slim porch-green awning header, and terracotta accents give the app a welcoming neighborhood feel while keeping task details easy to scan. Bottom navigation uses four flat house-key silhouettes, and the active key lifts with a soft shadow so moving between Home, Tasks, Add, and Search feels clear and intuitive. Whether you need someone to walk the dog, collect a package, or water plants while you are away, StoopNote gives you a practical, local-only way to post, track, and complete small neighborhood tasks.
