About this app

FAAB is a quantum-secured messenger from FAAB Group Inc.: direct messages, group chats, voice and video calls, and a sealed vault for your files. Built so the servers that relay your conversations learn as little as possible, and honest about where that protection stops.

QUANTUM SECURED
• Direct messages between two people are end-to-end encrypted with post-quantum keys that are agreed between the two phones and keep moving as you talk. The servers relay envelopes they cannot open: text, photos, videos, voice notes, files, replies, reactions, edits and deletions alike.
• Voice and video calls, one-to-one and in groups of up to 32, are end-to-end encrypted with a key that reaches each person inside their own encrypted conversation. The server still learns who called whom, when, and whether it was voice or video.
• Your keys are born on your phone, mixed with quantum-origin randomness captured during sign-up, and your private keys never leave it. FAAB shows you a Key Birth Certificate.

FAAB QUANTUM SECURE VAULT
Keep photos, videos and files sealed on your phone, each under its own key. Sort them into folders, open them inside FAAB, and share one with a link you can turn off at any time. A link opens only inside FAAB, after the person who shared it is added to your contacts.

SECURE CLOUD
Keep your account, contacts, chats and vault safe if you lose or change your phone. Everything is sealed on this phone first — FAAB can't open it. A new phone set up from this one with your Google Account restores it, and an optional recovery key restores it anywhere.

WHAT IS NOT END-TO-END
• Group chats are encrypted in transit to the server, not end to end. The server stores group history and can read it. Every group in the app is labelled this way.
• Even for direct messages, the server sees metadata: who talks to whom, when, and how much.

FINDING PEOPLE
Choose a username: your User ID. Add people by their User ID, by scanning the QR code on their phone, or from the link it carries; after a scan, FAAB refuses a changed key for that contact instead of silently accepting it. FAAB never reads your phone's contacts.

ON YOUR PHONE
• App lock with a 6-digit PIN and strong biometrics (fingerprint or face, where your phone supports it).
• Screenshots, screen recordings and the recent-apps preview of FAAB are blocked.
• Notifications don't show message text unless you turn that on.
• Link previews are fetched by your phone, and you can turn them off.
• Share from any app: Share › FAAB sends to your chats or saves to your vault.

NO ADS, NO TRACKERS
No advertising, no analytics and no tracking SDKs.

OPEN TO EVERYONE
FAAB is free and open to anyone: no invitation, no waiting list, no organization to belong to.

INDEPENDENT AUDIT
FAAB has not had an independent security audit yet. Until it has, please don't rely on it where a failure could put someone at risk.
