About this app

FaceTheFacts provides you with all the important information about politicians in an app and also directly on the election poster using the scanning feature!
Find out about candidates’ past voting behavior, political positions, CVs, articles, speeches, party donations and outside activities.
Follow the work of politicians in parliament between elections and stay up to date on what is currently happening in the Bundestag.
Take a close look at who decides what and how and find them easily
Candidate who suits you best.

Which candidates can I look at?
We have all the candidates and representatives from the Bundestag and the
countries in the database.
Unfortunately, there is little information about candidates who are running for the first time, but there is a lot about MPs who have already held several mandates.
In addition, there is rather less information, especially in state parliaments
available, such as secondary employment.

What is the Bundestag overview made up of?
In the Bundestag dashboard we aggregate all the information again chronologically, i.e. i.e., for example the most recent speeches and roll-call votes in the Bundestag. With the last update, we are also including party donations, so that you can find out more about who could influence politics and how.

Where does the data come from?
All information in the app is freely available and created by us only
collected. The data comes from:
parliamentwatch.de
politrack.org
de.openparliament.tv
bundestag.de
We would also like to thank them at this point. You rock!

What features are coming next?
We would like to add non-roll-call votes, and
We are also currently considering whether we should create party profiles. But a lot of the app is where we wanted to go.

Who is behind it?
We are a group of students at CODE University Berlin and founded FacetheFacts as an open-source and non-profit project.
We are supported by, among others, MPs Watch, Wikimedia's UNLOCK Accelerator, UpdateDeutschland and were also part of the 10th Prototype Fund.
