Fader is a white noise and sleep sounds app built like an analog mixing desk. Instead of picking one sound, you slide faders to blend rain, fire, brown noise or a fan into your own mix, set a sleep timer that fades out gently, and fall asleep. No subscription, no account, no cloud. Pay once if you want more, or use it free forever.

MIX YOUR OWN SLEEP SOUNDS
Every channel has a volume fader and a tone knob. Layer up to six sounds at once, adjust the pitch of each one, and watch the VU meters move with the audio. Save the result as a tape and load it again tomorrow night with one tap.

30 HIGH-QUALITY SOUNDS
Color noise: white noise, pink noise, brown noise, green noise and gray noise, generated in real time so they never loop.
Water: rain, rain on window, thunderstorm, river, ocean waves, rain on a tent, cave drops.
Fire and air: fireplace, wind, fan, forest wind.
Ambience: coffee shop, train, crickets at night, forest, airplane cabin, city at night.

Steady background sound masks traffic, neighbours and snoring so you fall asleep faster and stay asleep. Rain sounds, ocean waves and brown noise are the most popular mixes for deep sleep.

White noise and coffee shop ambience help with concentration, ADHD and working from home. Set a long timer and let the mixer run.

FOR TINNITUS
Pink noise, brown noise and rain are widely used for tinnitus relief and noise masking. Tune the tone knob until the sound sits right over the ringing.

FOR BABIES
Shushing, heartbeat and hair dryer sounds calm newborns. A dedicated baby tape is ready the first time you open the app.

SLEEP TIMER AND ALARM
Set any timer length with a slow fade-out so the sound never stops abruptly. Wake up with your own mix: the alarm fades in over several minutes, repeats on the days you choose, and is dismissed by sliding a fader.

NIGHTSTAND CLOCK
Leave the phone on the bedside table: the screen dims to a minimal amber clock showing the time, the remaining timer and your next alarm. A total-dark red mode is available for the lightest sleepers.

WORKS OFFLINE, RESPECTS YOUR NIGHT
All sounds are stored on your phone. Playback keeps going with the screen locked and with headphones or Bluetooth. Ads never play while sound is on, never at night, never on the alarm screen.

If a sound loops badly or the alarm misses, write to us from Settings and we will fix it in the next update.

What’s new

• Return to the mixer without turning off automatic night mode. The clock returns after 60 seconds of inactivity; interactions restart the wait and open dialogs prevent its return.
