Klyserona is an arcade game of quick reactions and precise choices. Different balls appear on the field for a limited time and you must touch them before they disappear. Real balls give points and advance progress, while fake gray balls must be let go. The game contains 16 levels with a pace that becomes gradually more demanding.
In Klyserona, each real ball caught increases the streak by one. Points are based on the level and the length of the streak: the calculation uses 70 points plus 18 points per level, multiplied by the current streak. The streak is used up to a value of 12 for the calculation of points.
Catching the ball very soon after it appears gives an additional 60 points. This applies when the ball is touched within about 38% of its total time on the field. In this way, immediate reaction is rewarded more than a regular catch.
The balls are presented in four different appearances: classic, with concentric circles, with a horizontal stripe and with two halves. The appearance does not change the main rule of the game, but brings more visual variety during the levels.
In Klyserona, a real ball that expires causes the loss of a life and resets the streak to zero. Fake balls work differently: if not touched, they simply disappear without penalty. If touched, a life is lost and the streak is interrupted.
On Easy, the game starts with 5 lives, on Medium with 3 and on Hard with 2. The difficulty also changes the time the balls stay on the field and the frequency of fake balls. Easy gives the balls more time and reduces the presence of fake objects, while Hard does the opposite.
On levels 1–3, there can only be one active real ball. From level 4 the limit increases to two, from level 8 to three and from level 13 to four. This forces the player to control several positions simultaneously.
Klyserona adds fake balls starting from level 4. At levels 4–6 the base chance is 16%, at levels 7–11 it is 28%, while from level 12 it reaches 38%. Easy reduces this chance, while Hard increases it, with a maximum limit of 50%.
The time the balls stay in place gets shorter and shorter. In the early levels it is over two seconds, while in the later levels it gradually approaches about one second. Easy extends this time, while Hard shortens it.
A special type of ball with circles always stays in place for about 3 seconds. When it approaches the end of its time, it starts to flash as a warning. This gives the player one last sign before the object disappears.
In Klyserona, from level 9 some balls can change position during the game. They move to a new point on the field, so it's not enough to just remember where they first appeared.
Each level requires a certain number of correct catches. Level 1 requires 11, level 2 requires 12, and the requirement continues to increase by one for each level, up to 26 catches at level 16.
Once the level requirement is met, all remaining balls are removed from the field. After a short break, the next stage begins with a higher requirement and more difficult conditions. The series does not automatically reset just because the level changes.
The Klyserona also saves the best score. When the current score exceeds the previous record, the new value is saved immediately. So any long series and any quick catches can directly affect the personal record.
Pausing freezes the time of objects and their animations. After resuming, the time spent in the pause is added to the ball's timeouts, so no object expires while the game is paused.
After completing the level 16 requirement, Klyserona successfully completes. To reach the end, you must distinguish real balls from fake ones, react as early as possible, maintain the streak, and adapt to more objects and less time in each new level.
