FairBill checks your medical bills and insurance claims line by line, with exact math, on your own phone.

WHAT IT CHECKS
• EOB payment reconciliation: verifies that the allowed amount equals deductible + copay + coinsurance + plan paid, and that totals match the sum of the lines.
• Duplicate detection: catches the same procedure billed twice on one claim, and the same service billed across two different claims.
• Unbundling and upcoding checks: flags lab panel components billed alongside the panel, incompatible code pairs, and over-used high-level visit codes.
• Improper-charge detection: quality-tracking codes that must always be billed at $0 are flagged when they carry a charge.
• Fair-price benchmarks: compares charges against insurer-negotiated rates and national code ranges. When no verified benchmark exists for a code, FairBill says so instead of guessing.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
The audit engine, text recognition and PDF reading all run locally. Your bills, claims, plan details and history stay on your phone. There is no FairBill server holding your medical data. An optional cloud analysis mode (Google Gemini) is available for unusual bill formats; it is clearly labelled, off by default, and chosen by you for each audit.

HONEST BY DEFAULT
If part of a bill cannot be read, FairBill tells you the audit may be incomplete rather than inventing numbers.
