Would be 5 stars but... Great app! Easy to use! Very convenient and runs very smoothly from phone. Only problem is that every time I make the purchase and it goes to the confirmation screen that has your confirmation number plus your bar code... it just sits there with the little "loading symbol" in the center of the screen, even though the page is fully loaded. The loading symbol seems to never go away... regardless of the fact that I have probably the best phone to date, perfect 4G signal, or even if I'm connected via wifi!
Good App It's very useful and I have been using it for years now. Would like to see the ability to enter a number of guests in party and have the system show what showtimes have seats available for the entire party. Currently have to select a theater, then a showtime, then number in party before being able to see if there are seats available next to each other. Time consuming especially for shows that are considered blockbusters. Spent 20 minutes hunting through various showtimes and theaters.
Didn't even recognize my city When I manually enter my city and state it won't recognize it. They need to get out of the dark ages and realize there are more cities than metropolitan areas. App can't be used until it recognizes a city. Useless
Location shouldn't be mandatory The app works fine, until you absolutely need it to open in order to show your tickets at the theater and then it says it can't find your location and won't open at all. Hey Fandango, I already bought the tickets, I don't need the app to know where I am. If they fix this, the app will be great, but until then....
What happened? Get an error message about codec EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to watch a preview... App has been updated since the last time I posted this and the problem remains. Because of that, the last movie tickets I purchased were from my mobile browser directly from the theater website. The next update you release better fix the issue or I will discontinue use of fandango app for good.
Nice for checking show times, but... This is great for finding a theater and checking a show time, but the convenience fee seems silly. I know it's only $1.35, but why would I pay extra to Fandango for the ticket when I can pay less at the box office? I have to drive there anyway to see the movie, so it's not like I'm doing extra work that your "convenience" fee helps me avoid. What's convenient about that?
