Orbit is a one-tap space game. You orbit a planet, tap the screen and fly off along the tangent. If you reach the next planet's ring, you stay in its orbit. Planet to planet, from Earth to the black hole at the centre of the galaxy.
There is nothing else to learn. But the orbit shrinks while you hesitate, so you can't wait for the perfect moment: you have to decide.
A JOURNEY THROUGH REAL SPACE
• 101 real places, in the order they come closest to Earth: the Moon, Mars, the moons of Jupiter and Saturn, and exoplanets like the seven worlds of TRAPPIST-1, under a meteor shower.
• At jump 98, Gaia BH1, the nearest known black hole. At jump 100, Sagittarius A*, at the centre of our galaxy.
• Past that jump the known map ends and you enter the Orbit galaxy: worlds you won't find in any catalogue.
• Many worlds come with a real fact on screen, so you pick up some astronomy while you play.
• In the higher levels the planets move, and you have to choose your moment.
BOSSES AND SPACESHIPS
• A stop with a fight every 12 jumps: bases to defend, a battleship that takes aim at you, two cores that must not fall, the octopus ship and its whiplash, a heavy battleship and, at jump 96, the mothership with its drones. Never the same one twice in a row, and each one is explained before it starts.
• The Current, a river of rocks you dodge by tapping left or right.
• 30 ships you earn by playing, plus trails and extras in the shop, all paid with in-game points. Every advantage comes at a cost, and none of them changes how you score: a record is worth the same with the starting ship as with the last one.
EVERY DAY
• One challenge a day, the same for everyone.
• A logbook with the bestiary of little aliens and the atlas of the worlds you've visited.
• A card to share your record, showing whether you made it without spending a shield.
• Pick your music: Rotor, Electro, 8-bit Retro or just the pulse.
• Six languages: Spanish, English, French, Catalan, Italian and German.
