About this app

*Requires ADB, root or supported device*
*This app is no longer being maintained*

Give fresh new look to your phone with Fluid N.G, the navigation gestures app inspired by Breccia's concept.

Usage
There are two main gestures: 'Quick swipe' and 'Swipe & Hold' which can trigged from the bottom or side edges of the screen. The side triggers are only available on the bottom half of the screen, allowing you to still access other app side menus.

Actions
• Back
• Home
• Recent apps
• Toggle split screen
• Open notifications
• Open power dialog
• Open quick settings
• Launch Google search overlay
• Open keyboard selector
• Voice Search
• Launch assistant
• Launch app
• Launch shortcut

Setup
The app has a built-in option to hide the software navigation keys (if necessary) but it requires either root access or a pc to grant the app a permission.

Android ADB PC/Mac instructions:
1 - Enable Developer Mode in the Android settings.
2 - Enable USB Debugging
3 - Setup ADB on your PC
4 - Run the following adb command to grant the permission:
adb shell pm grant com.fb.fluid android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

To restore the navigation keys just disable FNG or run the following ADB command:
adb shell wm overscan 0,0,0,0

FluidNGPermissionGranter
This is an open-source tool to easily grant FNG the necessary permissions on Windows. Get it here

I have enjoyed using Fluid NG for some time, but a recent update has really caused me some trouble. At first it did not work at all. After checking the reviews I saw the developer saying that clearing the app data was necessary. I did that and things seemed to be back to normal. However, I now have one big problem. Whenever I do a short swipe from the bottom, 75% of the time Android notifications are pulled down. What is supposed to happen is that I'm supposed to be taken to my home screen. Sometimes that works, but MOST of the time the notification window is pulled down. I have no problem with side swiping whatsoever. I thought this might be a problem with Nova Launcher, but I uninstalled it and the problem remains. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. How can I make a short swipe up from the bottom bring me home every time? Unless I figure this out, I won't be able to use Fluid NG any longer.

I love this app. I only hope there will be more options implemented in the future. As others have mentioned, I wish it would allow me to pull up the payment window for Samsung Pay. I'm also uncertain as to what the Fluid NG quick setting icon is supposed to do. I assumed it would toggle Fluid NG but it doesn't do anything. This is the best gesture app, especially when used with LMT Pie Launcher. Till some of the quirks are resolved this is a nearly perfect app.

Great navigation option. I've found myself using it after Samsung opted for the atrocious three line navbar on the latest update. On the subject of Samsung phones, while I adore how mich easier my Note9 is to use with both edges mapped to back, there are a few little graphical annoyances here and there, specifically in the quick settings panel and on the home screen. I've found that changing from the full height navbar to the gestures with hints on solves them, but the app starts to get fussy.
