About this app

FCC turns any chat app into a private channel. Write your message in FCC, lock it, and send the scrambled text through your favorite app. Only the friend you locked it for can open it.

FCC has no sign-up, no cloud, and no server that could be hacked or subpoenaed.
Your keys are created on your phone and never leave it. We couldn't read your
messages if we wanted to — that's the whole point.

- Install and it's ready — keys are created for you, silently.
- Swap codes with a friend once: scan their QR code or paste their code.
- Write, lock, share. Reading is one paste — FCC figures out the rest.
- Long press text for quick access to features.
- Safety words let you double-check a friend's code by reading four words aloud.

- Keys are stored encrypted by your phone's secure hardware.
- Optional PIN lock: without it, nobody who grabs your phone can read a thing.
The app re-locks itself after a few minutes in the background.
- Screenshots of your messages are blocked, and FCC is excluded from backups —
your keys can never leak through a cloud copy.
- Starting over wipes your old keys before replacing them.

Share text straight to FCC from any app to decrypt it, or select text anywhere
and tap Lock or Unlock right in the text-selection menu. Locked messages
travel as plain text, so they survive any messenger, forum, or email.

**Honest limits** — we tell you what FCC can't do:
- If you forget your PIN, nothing can recover your keys. Nobody can.
- Deleting the app destroys your keys — that's by design.
- FCC protects messages, not a compromised phone.
