Veilbox is a private photo vault: hide photos and videos behind a PIN, encrypted on your own phone.

Pick what to hide from your gallery, or take a photo straight into the app. Veilbox encrypts it on the device and keeps it in a private folder other apps cannot read — a secret gallery only you can open. There is no server, no account, no cloud backup and no analytics. Nothing leaves your phone, because there is nowhere for it to go.

HOW THE ENCRYPTION WORKS
Your files are encrypted with ChaCha20-Poly1305, the same authenticated cipher used by TLS 1.3 and WireGuard. Your PIN never touches the files: it unwraps a random master key held in the device keystore. Every vault has its own key, so a vault password is a real second wall rather than a cosmetic one.

BEFORE YOU START
Veilbox cannot recover your vault if you lose both your PIN and your recovery key — that is the price of keeping nothing on a server. Write the recovery key down. And if you uninstall the app, the encrypted vault goes with it, so save out anything you want to keep first.
