The "B-Design Viewer" application is a particularly useful tool for dimensioning beams.
The engineer can quickly and easily locate the joist of interest in the plan drawing of each floor of the building. Tapping this beam displays the Tensile Force Diagram.
In the diagram, the bars are graphically illustrated with different colors. So the engineer can see the lengths of the rods and their number, in which positions they are placed, which areas they cover, where they anchor, where they splice, the number of layers, the weight of the arrangement. This feature can also be used to check the arming arrangement on the construction site.
The diagram also shows the tensile force required by the design (with continuous lines) due to bending and axial force resulting from the Tensile Force Environment (TEF):
a) before moment redistribution
b) after moment redistribution
c) by shifting the P.E.D. due to bending-shear interaction.
The required force is compared with the assumed force from the reinforcement (with shading) and the engineer directly checks the results of his design, what forces each bar takes and if the requirement is met everywhere.
Finally, the diagram shows the regulatory requirements for armament, which are marked with appropriate symbols.
The necessary file containing all this information for all floors of each building is generated after the final solution / arming of the carrier by pressing the "Generate App File" button from the "Solve" toolbox of the FESPA program.
