Create your own persistent notifications, complete with title, description, and icon. These notifications are not dismissible by the user and will remain in your notification drawer. Perfect for reminders or to-do lists!

Android 14 note:
Android 14 does not allow non-dismissible notifications anymore. Notifications may be dismissed and swiped away by the user.

The app will refresh periodically and notifications will reappear. The refresh interval can be modified under Settings. Notifications will also reappear if the app is opened again.

I'm sorry about Android 14 crippling the functionality of this app, but I think your workaround is pretty much the best way to go about it! That said: The last major update cleared anything that was previously a notification. This is very bad and scary behavior for an app where very important notes are stored. Also, the ads are silly. It's one banner but still, there's no way to get rid of it. And it's one of those fun banner ads that grows in size and suddenly Tiktok is all over your notifs.

Zero stars should be a choice here. Was fantastic for reminders, and for me, as a writer, great for quickly jotting down ideas. Great until today, when I opened it and realized my last two years of ideas are completely gone, have been erased from the last update. I am completely devastated and will never use this app again.

UI wise, it's like I've gone back 10 yrs. Also no option to NOT use an icon for a notification - I don't want to see big pixelated icons in my notification bar...maybe wouldn't be so bad if they were smaller or actually just an icon (it's an icon on top of a default background colour...). Im glad I can finally throw my own notifications up on my phone for reminders, but this feels like an overly basic and and tacky way to do so. Having un-removable ads is incredibly annoying as well.
