I'm not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, I've been able to import pictures from my gallery for free for two years now. It was somewhat inaccurate in the past with identifying piece placements, but I haven't had any major issues with it. It's been a wonderful tool for helping me while I do OTB analysis of previous games or when analyzing why a move may be bad in videos I watch.

Works great, I love having a quick way to setup a board while reading a chess book with just a scan. Then I can play along, get analysis, or even start from the current position against the computer. Outputting a game to a video file is simply brilliant. Adding the move list to the side of the board in the video would be a pretty cool addition. Make a pro version so you can take my money.

Dear Jon, thanks for suggestion about restricting invalid moves. We will try to add this feature in later versions. BTW the position markers already available in the latest release.

Have been looking for a reliable chess scanner that could handle both books and, especially, screen shots for online sources. Works great, with only an occasional (very infrequent) scanning error that is easily corrected in the program itself. Being able to export to my preferred chess program is also exceptionally easy. Just what I've been looking for.

Dear John, thank you so much for your feedback. You can report bad recognition using the top right button in Edit mode. This will help us to improve scanning feature.
