Findly keeps a family in sight of each other, without handing your movements to an advertising company.
WHAT IT DOES
• Live map — every family member sees every other member's last known position, with a clear marker when a position is getting old.
• Your own interval — each device reports on the schedule you pick: every 5 or 10 minutes when you want freshness, every hour or once a day when you want battery. You choose per device, and you can pause any device entirely.
• Ask where someone is — tap a member and Findly wakes their phone for a fresh, accurate fix, whatever their normal interval is.
• Places — mark Home, School or Work and everyone gets a notification when someone arrives or leaves. Arrivals are detected by the phone itself, which is why it costs almost no battery.
• History — scroll back through where a device has been, on a map and a timeline.
• Temporary groups — going to a festival, a trip or a school outing with people who are not family? Create a group with an end date, share the code, and everyone sees each other on a map until it ends. Group members see live position only — never your history, your devices or your battery — and group locations are deleted automatically when the group is over.
PRIVACY, CONCRETELY
• No advertising. No analytics SDKs. Your location is never sold and never used for ads.
• Your location is visible to your family — people you invited — and to members of any temporary group you chose to join. Nobody else.
• Sign in with your phone number and an SMS code. There is no password to lose.
• Export everything we hold about you, or delete your account outright, from inside the app or from our website — immediately, without emailing anyone.
BATTERY
Findly is built around the phone's own low-power location and geofencing services rather than keeping GPS running. Longer intervals use less battery; the app tells you what each setting costs.
