About this app

Marnie is an expense tracker, budget planner and money manager that helps you keep up with everyday spending with less manual entry. Capture supported payment notifications, log expenses by voice, scan receipts and see where your money goes.

Capture payment notifications
With your permission and a signed-in account, Marnie uses notification access to capture transaction details from supported bank and payment apps, including while Marnie is in the background. Use source controls to choose which apps to capture or ignore. Review captured items and correct details when needed. Capture depends on the notifications those apps provide, supported formats and your device settings.

Speak it, then review it
Say something like "Lunch was 18 dollars today." Marnie transcribes your words and helps turn them into a transaction. Review the details, make any changes and add the expense. You can also type naturally or enter a transaction manually.

Scan receipts
Take a receipt photo or share a receipt image to help fill in transaction details. Review the result before adding it to your records.

Categories that learn from you
Correct a category and Marnie uses your choices to help categorize similar transactions next time. Keep your daily spending organized in categories that make sense to you.

Understand your spending
Track expenses, income and transfers across your accounts. Explore category breakdowns, spending trends and transaction history. Manage accounts in different currencies and view your money in your preferred reporting currency. Ask questions about recorded spending, such as what you spent on groceries this month.

Build your budget
Create budgets, track savings goals and manage recurring payments and subscriptions. View cash-flow forecasts and estimated safe-to-spend amounts based on the records and plans you add.

Local records and optional backup
Keep transaction history on your device, with optional cloud backup and restore. Control AI processing preferences and community merchant learning in Settings. Account, backup, cloud AI and merchant-learning services may process data as explained in the Privacy Policy. Some features need an internet connection or a compatible device.

Download Marnie free. Core tracking and saved history remain available on the free plan. Paid premium plans offer higher cloud AI allowances, longer forecasts and automatic capture without a monthly capture-count cap. Free automatic capture has a monthly allowance. Feature availability and usage limits vary by plan; see the app for current details and local pricing.

Permissions you control
Notification access is used for optional payment capture from supported bank and payment apps. Microphone access is used when you choose voice entry. Camera access is used when you choose receipt capture. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.

If you purchase a subscription, payment is handled by Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play.
