About this app

Whether you’re on-the-go or on the couch, SnapScan allows you to make quick and easy mobile payments. After installing the app, simply load your bank card and add a secure pin or enable biometric authentication. Now you can use your phone to make payments in a snap!

Let’s make payments snappy:
- Shop in-store and online
- Send money to friends
- Verify your account to withdraw money from your Wallet
- Settle bills (via invoices and in the app)
- Buy prepaid electricity and airtime for you or a friend
- Donate to charities, and set up recurring monthly donations

Manage your account:
- Add up to three cards to use for payments
- You can even use your SnapScan Wallet as a payment method if you have funds in your Wallet.
- Authenticate your payments with a 4 digit pin or biometrics
- Verify your account to withdraw money from your Wallet to your linked bank account, or send money in your Wallet to a friend

What you need:
A valid credit or ecommerce enabled debit card (SnapScan works with all South African banks and most international credit cards).
A South African cellphone number

Do not feel any level of safety using Snapscan as a payment portal. It pretty much is like paying money into an unknown account. You will not receive help if one of THEIR vendors cons you. They will tell you to contact your bank knowing very well that you cannot reverse the payment without your vendors banking details (which you wouldn't have because you paid directly using Snapscan).

I'm reserving the other 3 stars until they either allow to edit the card details without deleting it or for them to support fully the dynamic cvv from virtual card. The pain of capturing card details from scratch everything when you want to use virtual cards with dynamic cvv's is unbearable

In the "Payments History" section, the year isn't included in the transaction dates. Please remedy this. Otherwise I find Snapscan very convenient. Thank you.
