FishPin is an offline-first marine navigation app for boaters, anglers, sailors, and anyone who heads out where mobile data fades.

Once you've downloaded a map area while on Wi-Fi, FishPin works completely offline at sea, your boat position, saved spots, trip logs, and route planning keep working without a signal.

▸ Offline maps
Download regions in Standard or Satellite view. Once saved, the map renders fully without internet, no dropouts, no buffering at sea.

▸ GPS trail recording
One-tap recording with a persistent foreground notification so the trail keeps capturing while the screen is off. Save trips with name, color, and activity (sailing, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and more). Review distance, duration, and average speed.

▸ Save your spots
Drop pins on the map for fishing grounds, anchorages, hazards, or any waypoint. Add a name, description, color, and icon. Pins sync to your private cloud account when you're online so they're never lost.

▸ Route planning + navigation
Add waypoints to a pin and get a planned route. The navigation screen shows live compass, ETA, and distance to your next stop.

▸ Live weather + marine forecast
Real-time wind, gusts, waves, currents, and a 7-day forecast. Tap any saved spot to fetch weather and depth for that exact location.

▸ Sea depth (bathymetry)
GEBCO depth data for any coordinate, plus a Nautical map layer with depth contours and sea marks.

▸ Catch logging
Log every catch with species, weight, length, photo, and method. AI-powered fish identification helps name the species from a photo.

▸ Emergency SOS
Hold the SOS button for 3 seconds to send a pre-formatted distress message with your live coordinates to up to 5 emergency contacts via your phone's SMS app.

▸ Different Map styles
Standard street, Satellite imagery, Dark, or Nautical (depth zones, contours, sea marks).

▸ Multiple unit systems
Switch between Nautical (kn / nm), Metric (km/h / km), or Imperial (mph / mi).

Most marine apps assume you have signal. FishPin assumes you don't. Pins, trails, catches, settings, and emergency contacts are stored locally on your phone first, then synced to the cloud when Wi-Fi is available, so a dead signal never costs you data.
