Ratings and reviews

As with all their games, the graphics are incredible (and they're still incredible even if the artists use some AI help now, I don't get the hate for it), and the puzzles are fun and challenging, for the most part. In this one, the story is better, with more complex lore and world building, than other series. But I had to hold a star because the nonsensical randomness of where things are hidden is worse than in any other five bn game I've played! Still really fun.

I really like puzzle games and this series has a very cohesive story. Some of the puzzles are reused from other installments, but still plentiful enough to keep you sharp. I knew at some point AI was going to be used for cutscenes so they can crank out these games, but I didn't think it would be so quick. Even so, the cutscenes are pretty decent.

midgame: i do like this one. i wish there were more HO only scenes, there are only a few, but there are a lot of puzzles, some very different. some i figure out quickly, some take perserverance, but if you keep trying, it comes together.... it can take time to find the use for the tools you gather along the way, and you need to tap a lot to make sure you find everything.. not thrilled about the one cut scene (so far) with creepy insect monsters. i play to relax.
