Fettle is a simple pottery studio tracker for ceramicists who want to keep every handmade piece organized from the first wedge of clay through the final glaze firing. The app centers on a single ceramic piece record, so you can quickly capture the name or form, clay body, current studio stage, and any short firing or glaze note. The Add tab places the piece name first and offers straightforward selectors for clay type and stage before saving the record directly to your device. On the Pieces tab, all of your ceramic pieces appear as a scrollable grid of test tile style cards that you can search by name and filter by stage. You can open any piece to update its details, change its stage as it moves through your studio, or delete it when your records change. The Bench tab works as a small dashboard with two clay bowl counters showing your in-progress pieces and the pieces that are ready to fire. It also keeps the three most recently touched pieces on a lower shelf for fast reference and includes a quick add button when you start a new piece. The Kiln tab shows only the pieces in the bisque, glaze, or firing stages, giving you a focused firing shelf queue. From that queue you can use the load next action to move the top ready piece into the firing stage without opening it. Fettle keeps all of your data in local device storage, so your studio notes remain available while you work offline. The stage workflow follows common studio steps including wedging, throwing, trimming, drying, bisque, glazing, firing, and finished. This makes it useful for hobby potters tracking a few mugs, ceramics students managing hand-built and wheel-thrown assignments, and small home studio artists preparing a kiln load. The interface uses a warm workbench layout with ceramic tile cards and clay stamp navigation that keeps daily tracking calm and tactile. There are no required accounts or online setup steps, so you can install Fettle and begin logging pieces right away. By keeping the process simple and local, Fettle helps you spend less time managing paperwork and more time with your hands in the clay.
