How it works

• Tap the mic & talk
Share a moment with your child, a call with your mom, an old story from school, or something that happened today. No typing, no complicated setup – talk naturally. Your voice is processed securely & stays tied to your account, not a public profile.

• Our AI finds the “Flashbacks” in what you say
As you speak, Flashback detects the important moments – who it was about, what happened, when & where it took place, and why it mattered. These are saved as structured memories in your private timeline.

• Your memories become Memory Orbs
Each important moment is turned into a Memory Orb – a visual, emotion-filled capsule that holds the story, the people involved, and key details. Orbs are private by default and are meant to feel like a safe container for your most meaningful moments.

What are Memory Orbs?

Memory Orbs are living containers for your memories:

• A snapshot of a moment, with the story attached
• Linked to the people you talked about (family, friends, partners, kids)
• Organized by time, emotion, and relationships
• Saved in one private place you can return to, any time

They are designed so you can quickly recall not just what happened, but how it felt – without exposing your memories to a public feed or an ad-driven social network.

Privacy, everywhere in the experience

Privacy is not an afterthought in Flashback – it is built into every part of the app:

There is no public timeline or “discover” feed. What you say and the Orbs you create are for you, unless you explicitly choose to share something.

• You stay in control
You can edit or delete any Memory Orb or recording. You decide what stays, what goes, and what never leaves your device.

• No ad-based use of your memories
Your stories are not collected to build ad profiles or sold to data brokers. They exist to power your own private memory experience.

• Secure processing
Your data is handled with modern security practices and safe AI infrastructure designed to treat your memories as sensitive, not as content to be exploited.
